Holiday Inn Express & Suites Carlsbad

Stayed here on a road trip to NM. Room and bathroom were clean, I thought the rooms were nicer than other Holiday Inn Express that I have stayed at. It was good to have a microwave in the room as well. The person at the front desk was pleasant, the water pressure was adequate. Breakfast was good, nothing spectacular but it was on par for a hotel of its level. Solid option given the price, would stay again.

Tatiana, the lady that works at the front desk was the most amazing and helpful person to my kids and myself. She went out of her way to make sure my teenage kids were ok during a meeting in the meeting room. Very excited with her hospitality!

I was here on business and enjoyed my stay very much. No problems w/parking. Check-in was as breeze, host was very polite/friendly. Breakfast buffet was satisfying. The mornings I had breakfast, every employee greeted/acknowledged the guests, had conversations w/them and the ladies kept the food & counters restocked an clean. Hotel employees were very courteous, willing to assist, greeted every guest. The lobby, hallways were kept clean. No loud guests. Housekeeping checked daily if anything was needed. I've never been to a hotel that made me feel more comfortable, safe than here. I definitely recommend this location to anyone. I look forward to staying here again.

Great location to National Parks in area. Rooms were newly updated, the bathroom was not very clean. We booked a King room then when arrived we were down graded to two queens without a choice. The breakfast was lacking, lots of " out of order " or missing items. Conveniently located by restaurants,

Great hotel! Breakfast was a little earlier (5 to 9am) than I would have preferred but it was still good. Ganesha statue in the Lobby was wonderful

This was one of the best Holiday Inn stays I’ve had. The front desk staff was very warm and welcoming, and the room was super clean. I also liked seeing a Ganesha statue at the front—it was a nice touch. Since it was Christmas Day, housekeeping was not available, but the manager had a note posted on the door explaining this, which was very helpful and thoughtful. Breakfast options were good, with items like curd, bread, cinnamon buns, eggs, and more. The only downside was that the waffle machine was out of order. Overall, it was a great stay. Special thanks to Tanya and Stephanie at the front desk—they were wonderful and made the experience even better.

Hands down, best service I've had at any Holiday Inn Express. What I liked most was the Hot Breakfast & high tech Coffee machines- the coffee never runs out! The kitchen staff- Faith, Helen & Crystal are gold to this location. They had the dining & kitchen area spotless. They make the BEST crispy bacon! Helen does a wonderful job because the bacon was Not sitting in a pan with grease. The bacon pan was dry, keeping the bacon crispy & fresh. There were diced, seasoned potatoes, turkey sausage & scrambled eggs. I liked how the cinnamon rolls were kept hot, as if they had just come out of the oven. The food warmers worked very good which help tremendously in keeping the food hot & fresh. Faith & Helen kept a watchful eye on the food & even asked us how the food was & if there was anything else they could get for us. There was a very kind man (I forgot to ask his name) who appeared to be a good leader. He may have been the manager. He was awesome at greeting us. He seemed to be well liked by his staff. The kitchen staff made us feel very welcomed. This location has a pretty decent gym. They have free weights, incline bench, treadmill, etc. so you don't have to miss a workout day if that's what you're in to. The beds were comfortable & had plenty of pillows. The AC worked great. It kept our room very cold. This location is close to the Desert Zoo & Gardens which we found to be a great place to visit. There is also a hospital down the street so you're not far from medical help if needed.

Nice big room but the sink doesn't work right. Can't stop it up and the faucet is too tight to easily adjust. Breakfast buffet was a bit of a disaster with limited food and no forks. But so it goes.
